The 2006 National Championships for Open and Punto, Raffa, Volo will hosted by the Italia-America Bocce Club of St. Louis, Missouri. A tournament application form and travel and hotel information will be posted here soon. (A venue for the Volo National Championships has not yet been selected.)
Tentative Schedule:
Monday, June 19, 2006 -- Welcome reception from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Registration for Open Bocce will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The drawing will take place at 8:00 pm. Players may practice any time Monday after 10:00 am.
Tuesday, June 20 through Wednesday June 21, 2006 -- Open Bocce. Open play begins after the 8:00 am opening ceremony. Play will continue until as late as necessary in order to complete all games.
Wednesday, June 21, 2006 -- Club Punto, Raffa, Volo registration will take place all day. The drawing will be held at approximately 8:00 pm. You may practice after open play has ended. (Note: In order to qualify for Club competition, both the players and their club must have been USBF members in 2005 and 2006.)
Thursday, June 22 through Saturday June 24, 2006 will be Club Punto, Raffa, and Volo. Play begins at 8:00 am.
Saturday, June 24, 2006 -- Awards banquet. Cocktails from 7:00 pm-8:00 pm, Dinner at 8:00 pm followed by music to dance the night away.
Cost for each event will be $60.00 (per player)
Cost for Award Banquet will be $30.00 (per person)
