PRESIDENT’S LETTER

Welcome to the official web site of the United States Bocce Federation (USBF). The USBF was founded 1977 and we will be going into our thirty first year in 2007.

The USBF is a charitable non-profit corporation. Our main purpose is to promote the sport of bocce, get bocce into the Olympics, and to send the best players in the United States to world bocce championships. We have had a national tournament every year since 1979 with the winners going on and representing the United States in the world championships.

We promote bocce on the local level through our individual members and their clubs. This includes activities such as clinics for beginners, assisting with Special Olympics programs, and conducting tournaments for all levels of play and age groups at the local and regional level.

The USBF is a member of the two international bocce organizations that host the world championships and promote bocce at the international level. The Confederizone Boccistica Internazionale (CBI) governs and promotes the sport of punto, raffa, volo and the Federation Internationale de Boules (FIB) governs and promotes the sport of volo. We have links to these organizations on this web site where you may learn more about the international aspects of the sport.

Thank you for visiting our web site. Please feel free to contact me or the sector president in your area if you have questions. We hope that our site helped you understand a little more about this great sport that we all play, bocce!

Sincerely,
John C. Ross

 Sincerely,
